Adams, a native of Burlington, shot a two-round score of 76-72-148 during sectional qualifying last week at Butler, Pennsylvania, Country Club. Seventy-four players were competing for two spots in the Open and Adams birdied her final hole to force a playoff with two other golfers before advancing.

The former CAA Player of the Year and Western Alamance product  joins former Seahawk great Michelle Jarman (2006 in Newport, Rhode Island) as the only players to compete in the Open, which runs July 6-12.
