Memorial Day closings in the Cape Fear region is your source for free news and information in the Wilmington area.

City of Wilmington offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.

Trash service will run on a regular schedule. City customers who normally have their trash and yard waste picked up on Mondays are asked to have all items curbside by 7:30 a.m. City recycling customers who are on the blue schedule and normally have their recycling collected on Mondays should place their recycling containers curbside by 7:30 a.m. as well.

New Hanover County, Brunswick County and Pender County government offices will also be closed Monday. Carolina Beach and Wrightsville Beach town government offices will be closed May 25. All area ABC stores are open Monday.

All federal and state offices will be closed Monday. The U.S. Postal Service will not deliver mail and banks will be closed.
