Brayden Thomas Jones, of Wilmington, died peacefully Sunday, May 17, 2015, in the arms of his parents. He was 4.
He was born Oct. 18, 2010 in Wilmington. Brayden was a very smart, intelligent, exuberant and playful little boy whose love for life was both remarkable and inspiring. He enjoyed going to the park and school, playing with his brother, riding his bike, running, swimming and trips to the beach.
Above all else Brayden had an extraordinary passion for trains. Everything from collecting and riding, to building and playing with his tracks. As parents we will never forget the happiness and joy he expressed and felt riding all the trains on his Make-A-Wish trip to Disney World. He touched the hearts of so many with his contagious smile and his infectious laugh.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Crystal and Jeff Jones; brother, Bradley Jones; maternal grandmother, Donna Dinsmoor and maternal grandfather, Thomas Dinsmoor; paternal grandparents, Margaret and Timothy Jones; great-grandmother, Marjorie Dinsmoor; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Penelope Morningstar officiating.
Memorials may be made to Super Coopers Little Red Wagon Foundation, 710 Market St. Suite 45, Chapel Hill, NC 27516 or Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina, 2880 Slater RA Suite 105, Morrisville, NC 27560
