Henry ‘Jack’ Lee White, 91, New Hanover HS, Cape Fear Community College teacher

Henry “Jack” Lee White, of Wilmington, died Monday, May 19, 2015, at Spring Arbor of Wilmington. He was 91.

He was born on April 10, 1924, in Mecklenburg County, the son of the late Waldo Reid White and Ruth Cherry White. Jack was a teacher at New Hanover High School and Cape Fear Community College. He retired as a manufacturing engineer at Deutstch Relays, Inc. and was a charter member of Wrightsboro Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife of over 26 years, Eudie Roberts White; one daughter, Ruth “Cookie” Daley and husband, Dean, of Tillman, South Carolina; two granddaughters, Meredith Daley Pankuch and husband, Brad and Morgan Rebecca Daley; and one great-granddaughter, Henley Jane Pankuch.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Oleander Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Kelley Wheat-Rivers officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Liberty Hospice, 2550 S. 41st St., Wilmington, NC 28403.
