An emergency sewer repair will affect traffic at one of Wilmington’s busiest intersections on Wednesday.
Crews with the Cape Fear Utility Authority (CFPUA) will close the right lane of westbound Oleander Drive and the right lane of southbound College Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to CFPUA Spokesman Mike McGill.
“The work is being conducted in a way that is mindful of the morning and evening rush hours,” McGill said.
If work is not completed close to 4 p.m., the work will stop and continue Thursday.
“As always, we ask motorists to find an alternate route, if possible,” McGill said. “Given the high level of traffic passing through this intersection, we ask everyone to please be patient, slow down, and put down their phones in the area of the repair.”
