John Telmore Dennis, of Rocky Point, died peacefully Monday, May 11, 2015, at his home. He was 60.

He was born Nov. 28, 1954, in Pender County, the son of the late Robert Telmore and Annie Jewell Wells Dennis. John was also preceded in death by his brothers, Lester and Tommy Dennis.

John was an accomplished brick mason by career and owned his own business, Dennis Masonry. He loved his family; his grandchildren were the light of his life. John loved being outdoors in God’s beautiful world spending many happy hours hunting, fishing and working in his vegetable garden. John’s passing leaves a big hole in our hearts as we especially remember his zest for life, jovial personality and caring manner.
