Minnie Adams Meadows, of Holden Beach and formerly of Winston-Salem, died Thursday, May 7, 2015, at her home. She was 92.
Mrs. Meadows was born Nov. 9, 1922, in Winston-Salem, daughter of the late Millard and Laura Gant Adams. Mrs. Meadows was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Herbert Leroy Meadows and eight brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Meadows was a member of the Eastern Star in Winston-Salem for many years. She was affiliated with Western Electric, which became AT&T, for 35 years until her retirement. She moved to Holden Beach about 14 years ago to live with her daughter, Sandra Dillon and made it her home.
Survivors include her son, Herbert Meadows and wife, Glenda, of Mocksville; daughter, Sandra M. Dillon, of Holden Beach; two brothers, Joe Adams and Fred Adams, both of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Oak Lawn Memorial Park in Winston-Salem.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Avon Breast Cancer Awareness.
