Lawrence Dawson “Larry” Bullard, of Wilmington, died May 4, 2015, at home with his family. He was 78.

Larry was a lifelong resident of Wilmington and the son of the late M. Eugene and Marguerite Jones Bullard.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Nancy Kelly Bullard; daughter, Catherine B. Morrison (Matthew); granddaughters, Samantha and Jaimeson Mull; son, Michael H. Bullard; sisters, Sandra Nichols (Robert), and Bonnie London; sister-in-law, Linda King (John); and many loved nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Larry was a graduate of New Hanover High School, class of 1954, and Duke University, class of 1958. His career included co-owner of the family owned business Sunshine Express Super Laundry, Mortgage Loan Banking and most recently, he retired from Bullard & Shackleford Appraisal Firm.

An informal memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Oakdale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice or American Cancer Society.
