Tammy Lee Henry, of Las Vegas and formerly of Wilmington, lost her battle with cancer and passed away March 24, 2015, at the age of 56.
Tammy was born Nov. 10, 1958, in Wilmington. She was a realtor and managed two clothing shops in Las Vegas.
Tammy enjoyed her life with a free spirit, full of excitement and adventure. She loved horseback riding, golfing, snow skiing, traveling and fishing. She won a fishing tournament catching a whopping 44-pound King Mackerel at Carolina Beach, which brought a prize of $10,000.
Tammy had such a beautiful, kind and loving spirit. She had so much to live for and so much love to give. She always tried to include everyone in her life, sharing all of her adventures and making us all feel special. One of Tammy’s favorite things to do was spending time with her family and friends. She touched all of our lives in so many wonderful and memorable ways. She would say, “The best gifts we can give each other are laughter and smiles.” Thank you, Tammy, for all the wonderful memories! She will be missed!
She is survived by her father, Thomas Lee; sister, Kaye; and brothers, Ricky, Ronnie and Tim.
