Airlie Gardens will be closed Monday and Tuesday as crews film scenes for the jazz biopic “Bolden!”

According to a notice from New Hanover County, the gardens will reopen Wednesday as crews continue filming at Riverside Park.

The film, directed by Dan Pritzker, stars Gary Carr (“Downton Abbey”) as cornet player Buddy Bolden, a New Orleans musician regarded as the father of jazz. The film also stars Ian McShane (“Deadwood”), Michael Rooker (“The Walking Dead”) and Nelsan Ellis (“True Blood”), among others.

In November 2014, crews shots scenes for the movie at The City Club in downtown Wilmington.
