Crews with the City of Wilmington will close a small section of Andover Drive for approximately 45 days so that crews can replace a large drainage pipe that passes under the road between Overbrook Road and Mildred Avenue, according to a notice from city spokeswoman Malissa Talbert.
While Andover Drive will remain open, it will not be accessible all the way through from either end of the road. The work is part of the city’s $4.9 million Michelle Drive/South Bradley Creek stormwater drainage improvement project.
Residents who live on Andover Drive east of the work area will need to access their homes from Wrightsville Avenue. Andover Drive residents who live west of the work area and all Overbrook Road residents will need to access their homes from Rose Avenue.
