Peggy Brady, of Wilmington, died Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Davis Health Care. She was 93.

She was born April 25, 1921, in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude McNamee. Peggy was preceded in death by her three siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, John Dwight Jr. and wife, Rhoda; daughters, Jane Dwight and Carol Margle and husband, Jim; grandchildren, John Dwight III, Jeffrey Dwight, Jeanan Abdunnur, Shane Abdunnur and Nathan Margle; and great-grandchildren, Matea and Nico Dwight, William and Henry Abdunnur, Dillon Abdunnur Lucas and Jack Margle.

Peggy was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always helped and supported her family. She was very active and worked into her 80s as a physician’s administrator for longtime family friend Dr. Battafarano in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

In 2005, she moved to Plantation Village in Wilmington to be near her family and spent 10 years enjoying the friends that she made there and the beautiful surroundings. All of her grandchildren who live all over the country visited frequently, which she enjoyed immensely.

A funeral mass will be held for her at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, at St. Therese Parish, 209 Lumina Ave., Wrightsville Beach NC 28480.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington NC 28401.
