A Wilmington woman has been charged with impaired driving in a wreck that injured a bicyclist Sunday morning.

Wilmington police responded to the intersection of South Collage Road and Randall Parkway at 7:47 a.m. Sunday, when a vehicle hit a man on a bicycle, according to Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay.

The driver reportedly left the scene, Lindsay said. A 53-year-old man was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment. He was reported in stable condition on Sunday.

Police found the vehicle about 40 minutes later headed northbound in the 400 block of South Kerr Avenue without a bumper, Lindsay said.

Sarah Morgan Stark, 21, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired, hit-and-run, careless and reckless driving and driving left of center, Lindsay said. She was booked New Hanover County jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
