Police are investigating an early morning shooting that injured one man near downtown Wilmington on Sunday.
The shooting was reported at 2:30 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Ninth and Queen streets, according to Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay. A 22-year-old man was shot multiple times in the stomach, arms and legs.
He was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center, where he was listed in “critical but stable condition,” Lindsay said.
The investigation is ongoing and no suspect information was available.
