Lower Cape Fear Hospice will offer two free, six-week grief programs that begin in May.

Living with grief: Growth and education groups for adults will meet 4-6 p.m. Mondays, May 18-June 22. Living with grief: Coping with the loss of a child will meet 2:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesdays, May 20-June 24. Both groups will be in the Dr. Robert M. Fales Hospice Pavilion, Conference Room, 1406 Physicians Drive in Wilmington.

Discussions include the phases of grief and the grieving process, along with other areas of concern. Often being around others who have been through a similar experience enables participants to talk about what they are experiencing. Grief groups help emphasize that participants are not grieving alone and others understand and can support them on their grief journeys.

Registration is mandatory and closes once the series begins. For more information, call 796-7991. When leaving a message, please leave your name, phone number and indicate the specific program you wish to attend. Sessions are free. Donations are appreciated. Additional groups will form throughout the year.
