The field is set for the 2014 CAA Baseball Championship May 21-24 at Brooks Field on the campus of UNCW.
The six-team, double-elimination tournament gets underway on Wednesday, May 21, as fourth-seeded Delaware (24-25, 10-10 in CAA) faces No. 5 Northeastern (25-27, 9-12 in CAA) at noon, followed by No. 3 UNCW (28-25, 10-9 in CAA) against No. 6 James Madison (17-34, 8-12 in CAA) at 3:30 p.m. The losers of the first two games will meet in an elimination contest at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
On Thursday, top-seeded William & Mary (32-20, 15-5 in CAA) takes on the Delaware/Northeastern winner at noon. At 3:30 p.m., No. 2 College of Charleston (38-17, 15-6 in CAA) meets the UNCW/JMU winner at 3:30 p.m. An elimination game follows at 7 p.m.
Tournament action continues with three games on Friday and the CAA championship game is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 24.
Adult all-session tickets are $30 for chairback reserved seats and $20 for general admission. Single-day seats are $12 for chairback reserved and general admission. UNCW faculty/staff and youth (15 & under) tickets are $20 for all-session passes and $10 for a single-day pass. Students from participating CAA institutions are admitted free with a valid student ID.
Every game of the 2014 CAA Baseball Championship will be videostreamed live for free in high definition on CAA.TV and the CAA’s iPad app. A free login is required to view the games via CAA.TV on a computer or using the CAA’s iPad app.
