A young adult male with schizophrenia was shot and killed by a police officer during the incident, Flax said.

District Attorney John David was on the scene yesterday and has asked the SBI to investigate the incident, Flax said.

A press conference will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Brunswick County Courthouse. Check back for more details on this developing story.

Does anyone remember a few years ago something happened in that same area with a male person with schizophrenia? It MAY be the same person or family.
Anyone that remembers, I’d like to be refreshed on it.
