“Tanner has truly been an exceptional representative of our university and program,” said fourth-year UNCW Head Coach Buzz Peterson. “He epitomizes the ideal of the student-athlete by working hard in the classroom, being a great teammate on the basketball court and giving selflessly to the community. The Wilmington community is a better place because of his many contributions over the last four years.”

A native of Cedar Hill, Texas, near Dallas, Milson has appeared in 101 games in four seasons, making 46 starts. He has scored 614 points, grabbed 141 rebounds and dished out 194 assists.

The three-point specialist was named to the Colonial Athletic Association’s All-Academic Team the last two years.

In its second year, the Allstate NABC Good Works Team honors players at all levels of college basketball who exhibit superior leadership skills through charitable achievements. Milson is one of 118 nominees for the award and is eligible to be included on the final 10-member team comprised of five student-athletes from the NCAA Division I level and five from NCAA Divisions II, III and the NAIA. Members of the team will be invited by Allstate to the 2014 NABC Convention and 2014 NCAA Men’s Final Four in Dallas, where they will participate in a community project in the city.
