A New Jersey man was arrested for allegedly trafficking heroin following a multi-agency investigation that included the FBI.
Aaron Alexander Veal, 40, of Irvington, N.J., was booked at the New Hanover County Detention Facility at about 1 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, according to New Hanover County jail records.
Veal was charged with two counts of trafficking heroin. He is being held under a $10 million secured bond.
Veal was arrested for allegedly possessing and transporting more than 28 grams of heroin on May 21, according to the warrant.
“The FBI Wilmington Safe Streets Task Force, Wilmington Police Department, New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, Highway Patrol and Duplin County Sheriff’s Office are involved in this investigation,” FBI Spokeswoman Shelley Lynch said.
The investigation is ongoing.
